BiographyJavier Carranza is recognized as world class geo data scientist , an open government expert and and a civic tech opendata advocate. He is the founder and director since 2008 of [GeoCensos](http://www.geocensos.com) a Latin American based geo data foundation that analyzes geospatial technology trends , formulates projects to aid government data agencies and organizes data events, like the Mapps Hackathon. Javier regularly lectures and hosts un conference workshops with the statistic and data community. He is recognized as one of the most influential civic tech leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean and contributes to World Data Forum from the Programme Commitee. Javier is also an active contributor to journals, tech portals, blogs and maps in the open data community.
