BiographyRichard graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD in geophysics, where he investigated the internal structure of glaciers in Svalbard and Antarctica using ground-based radar. At OMS, he works on algorithm development for retrieval of geophysical products from passive microwave satellite data. He leads the development of machine learning approaches to derive low-latency and high spatio-temporal resolution precipitation and temperature observations from the OMS GEMS cubesats.
