BiographyColonel Derrick S. Lee was commissioned as a Military Intelligence officer after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in May of 1993. Upon completing the Officer Basic Course, he was assigned to the 501st Military Intelligence Brigade, where he served as a liaison to the Republic of Korea Army Intelligence School, Brigade Protocol Officer, Executive Officer for A Company and Battalion S1, 524th Military Intelligence Battalion.

COL Lee's other assignments include Brigade Commander, 501st Military Intelligence Brigade at Yongson, Korea; G2 Assistant Operations Officer, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Fort Hood, Texas; Battalion S2, 1-67 AR, 2d BCT, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized); Brigade S2, 4th AVN BDE, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized); Commander, B Company, 104th MI Battalion, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized); G2 Operations Officer and Division Analysis and Control Element Chief, 1st Armored Division in Wiesbaden, Germany; Executive Officer, 501st MI BN, 1st Armored Division.
