BiographyBertwin Lussenburg is program manager at the Innovation Team of the Ministry of Justice and Security in The Netherlands. The Innovation team, positioned below the Secretary-General of the Ministry, inspires, facilitates and supports innovation throughout the Ministry. He is among others responsible for enhancing the use of innovative procurement, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, the innovation program ''Satellite applications for Justice and Security'', launching customership and public-private cooperation.
He was appointed in his current position in September 2014. From 2011-2014 he was project manager for the European Asylum Support Office (Malta) in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Previously he was senior advisor at the Directorate for European and International Affairs and advisor at the Taskforce for the Global Forum on Migration and Development (Belgium, 2007).
