BiographyBert Klaassens is senior economic advisor at ACM, a merger organization of the Dutch telecommunications regulator and the Dutch Competition Authority. He has almost 20 years of working experience in the public sector, mostly with the telecommunication regulation, but also in merger assessments. GIS plays a major role in ACMs market decisions that Bert was responsible for.
Bert has several responsibilities within BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications), among others as a co-chair of the Planning and Future Trends expert working group. With the newly adopted European Electronic Communications Code mapping of broadband deployment and quality has become an important responsibility for BEREC.
