BiographyAfter leading his architectural office for 10 years, Architect Johannes Rechenbach specialized in 3D surveys with FARO laser scanners 9 years ago. 280 individual scan projects of great variety were completed during this period in the fields of architecture, heritage and industry.AbstractReliable 3D documentation of the as built environment is the base for accurate BIM models and digital planning procedures. Restoration projects outnumber new constructions by far in Europe at this time. Using the 3D scanning technology is highly recommended for all existing buildings that need to be rebuilt and modernized energetically. Johannes Rechenbach will show examples of his office work regarding this workflow.
