BiographyRamaprasanna has worked in the Indian geospatial industry for over twenty years after gaining his Degree from Bangalore University. He used his early photogrammetric mapping experience to progress through the various career development stages of Team Leader, Production Manager, General Manager, and now Managing Director. These roles have provided Rama with extensive understanding and contacts in both the Indian and International geospatial industries. Rama has had first-hand experience with a wide variety of geospatial technologies, including ETS, GPS, MLS, photogrammetry, LiDAR and GIS; covering all aspects of the production cycle: tendering, budgeting, project award, design, processing and delivery. Abstract Smart CitiesSmart Cities Mission is an urban renewal and retrofitting program by the Government of India with a mission to develop 100 cities all over the country making them citizen friendly and sustainable.
This presentation will review all the modern survey methodologies available to support smart city mission requirements and review the entire spectrum of mapping technologies open to Smart Cities India stakeholders, from the end-user perspective. Options covered include sensors (imagery, LiDAR, radar and field), from the variety of platforms (handheld, vehicle, UAV, aircraft, satellite) and applications (indoor, water, urban, rural, microsites and whole States).
