BiographyLaura Abuja is the Senior Sales Coordinator for Asia Pacific at Deimos Imaging, an UrtheCast company, which operates and manages Deimos-1 and Deimos-2 satellites. She has a degree in Environmental Science and a MSc in Biodiversity Conservation. In 2014, she joined Deimos Imaging having developed several agreements and business partnerships in Asia Pacific region.Abstract Deimos Imaging, a clear example of cooperation and alliances in South and SE AsiaDeimos Imaging, a subsidiary of UrtheCast Corp is a Spanish company that serves the rapidly evolving geospatial and geoanalytics markets with a wide range of information-rich products and services.
Apart from Deimos-1 and Deimos-2 satellites, Deimos Imaging is part of PanGeo Alliance, the first global alliance of Earth Observation satellite operators. With seven members, the Alliance provides access to imagery and tasking opportunities form an unprecedented and growing fleet of Earth Observation sensors. This unique fleet assures a daily global imaging capability, with multiple revisit per day over any target.
Apart from PanGeo Alliance fleet, the space assets of Deimos Imaging includes SuperView constellation, KOMPSAT-2, KOMPSAT-3, KOMPSAT-3A and KOMPSAT-5 and COSMO-SkyMed SAR Constellation.
The combination of radar with very high-resolution optical imagery will allow observation of the Earth day and night, regardless of weather conditions, and is intended to provide a constant asset monitoring service. This is key for a wide range of applications, especially those requiring frequent monitoring over the same area of interest and real-time response, such as emergency services, border and maritime surveillance and defence and security.
