BiographyD.Kaveridevi completed M.Sc and M.Phil in Applied Geography with distinction and first rank from the University of Madras. Her field of specilisation was Urban Climatology, in which she has authored research papers. She joined NRSC in 1990 while she was doing her Doctorate and presently a Senior Scientist and heading the Group responsible for International Satellite Data Dissemination at National Remote Sensing Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation. She has quite a extended experience in this area and is responsible for creating a niche for Indian Satellite data in the International arena. Mrs.D.Kaveridevi was responsible for the Project Management of the first Satellite Ground Station Project in India and Project Manager for many IRS Missions. She is member of different committees responsible for Earth Observation Technology Utilization and Policies. She is also one of the few responsible for the awareness programs on Remote Sensing & GIS at the school level, which is widely acclaimed. She is associated with Programmes in Geospatial Technology.
