BiographyPeter Hedlund has over 15 years experience in the technology industry where he has held senior positions in both global corporations as well as fast growing international technology start-up companies, some of which have become publicly traded. Peter has developed and delivered international business strategies to support business objectives and growth for several technology firms.
Peter, who has been based in the Middle East region for the last 10 years, joined OSI from Trimble where he was Regional Director of Middle East and Africa. During his time with Trimble, Peter grew Trimbles business across several regions.
Peter holds a Master in Business Administration and has studied at Harvard and Vienna School of Economics. Abstract Geovation: nurturing innovationPeter will cover how since 2009 Ordnance Survey has been fostering innovation and start ups by running challenges aimed at encouraging the use of geography. He'll talk about the benefits of creating such a programme, the success stories, and the lessons we've learnt. Last year we opened the Geovation Hub in London and Peter will review its progress so far.
