BiographyCol Richard Sundharam (Retired) was commissioned in the Corps of Signals of Indian Army in 1983. He was involved in a joint Army DRDO project for development of an indigenous electronic warfare system which has now been inducted into Service. During his tenure in Kashmir, he had designed and developed GIS software for Electronic Warfare Intelligence Collation and Analysis which has been successfully exploited for tracking militant activities. He commanded an Electronic Warfare Regiment in 2004 to 2006 and subsequently had tenure in Directorate General of Information Systems overseeing after automation of Indian Army. An M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur, Richard had served the Army for over 25 years. He presently heads the Defence and Homeland security vertical at Esri India since 2010.
