Biography Rob Eijsink (1960) is Steering Committee Secretary Soil and Infrastructure at the Association of Drinking Water Companies (VEWIN) in The Netherlands. Vewin’s core activity is to represent the common interests of its members in The Hague and Brussels. His work focusses on national and European policies on soil pollution and mining activities in relation to protection of groundwater resources for drinking water supply. Secondly he works on regulatory aspects (rights and obligations) for underground drinking water infrastructure. His work involves close contacts with the relevant Dutch ministries, stakeholders and politics. Rob Eijsink studied Physical Geography at het University of Utrecht. Prior to his career with Vewin (1997) he gained experience as a groundwater policy officer for the province of Utrecht and as a hydrologist in the environmental consultancy.
