International GIS ROI Methodologies and Findings: Applying ROI Findings

This panel will describe methodologies that have been developed to both predict and measure geospatial return on investment. Measurement is an important step to validate the accuracy of predictive benefit-cost analysis for GIS implementation. Furthermore, the growing body of documented geospatial ROI studies and methodologies provides the community with an opportunity to analyze the data to refine enterprise GIS configuration and management practices.

The panel will start with an overview of the problem, resources and opportunities provided by the moderator. Each speaker will then present their key experience and findings performing GIS ROI analysis. The session will conclude with a panel discussion to explore the future potential for leveraging these ROI studies and methodologies for more cost-effective enterprise GIS operations.
