Socio-Economic Implications of Climate Change Initiatives: Priorities & Implications for India 		Previous | Next

The Seminar on Climate Change is an offshoot from the Symposium on Climate Change and Disaster Management which was held at Map India 2010 in January 2010, where in experts from Climate Change and Geospatial domain converged to talk about climate and disaster risk management. The symposium was a huge success and well received by the Climate Change community, it also marked the significance of geospatial tools in the assessment of disaster response and emergencies arising due to climate change. In order to further the efforts made at the symposium, we wish to carry the discussions further to focus on the Socio Economic impact of Climate Change especially from the Indian Perspective. The Seminar will be addressed by experts from various organisations who are working in Climate Change domain in India and especially those who are developing implementation plans under National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) Mission and also looking into the impact of this phenomenon.
