BiographyMs. Hadda is a Senior Economic Officer with 28 years of experience in the Foreign Service. Ms. Hadda recently served as Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy Rome, advocating U.S. economic interests on issues including sanctions, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations, cybersecurity, and barriers to U.S. investment. Prior to Rome, Ms. Hadda was an Associate Dean at the Foreign Service Institute, supervising economic training as well as all civilian training for Afghanistan, Iraq, and other conflict areas. Other postings include Afghanistan, China, Taiwan, the U.K. and New Zealand, as well as in the State Departments East Asian and Pacific and European bureaus, the U.S. Trade Representatives Office, and as a fellow on the Hill. Ms. Hadda speaks Mandarin Chinese and Italian. Originally from New York City, Ms. Hadda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Smith College, and her Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. Her husband, Michael Andrews, is an Information Technology consultant specializing in content strategy. When not overseas, they live in Arlington, Virginia.
