BiographyAngshik Chaudhuri serves as the Managing Director and Chief of Staff for Ciscos Globalisation Office & Smart+Connected Communities (S+CC). S+CC is a key business unit of the Cisco Internet of Everything initiative. S+CC focuses on deploying digital technologies in cities and countries globally to transform the delivery and management of urban and citizen services. In this role, he leads the identification of new opportunities in emerging markets, structures governance, prioritizes specific investments, creates definitive communication strategies and works closely with various management teams globally in executing the aggressive growth plans. He is also responsible for strategy and planning for the globalisation efforts at Cisco, & amongst various other efforts, led the creation of the Cisco India Advisory Board which provides advice, insight, validation and guidance to various business functions to implement and accelerate Ciscos globalisation strategy.
Angshik was the youngest executive selected to the prestigious Business Today list of top 25 executives under 40 in 2008. He was also profiled by Business India as a Front Runner executive in 2006.
Before joining Cisco, he served at Prudential Plc. as Director, Business Solutions in Mumbai and London, where he was leading Business Consulting, Quality, & Information Technology. He was part of the successful founding leadership team that conceptualised and set up the offshoring entity in India focussed on analytics, knowledge services, financial compliance, and assurance services. Whilst at London he served in the capacity of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of Prudential Plc.
Angshik spent five years at GE Capital (now : GENPACT), during its aggressive growth phase in several roles including being the Assistant Vice President Transitions where he was responsible for leading the transition of business processes for the various companies under GE to GE Capital India.
Chaudhuri started his career at The Oberoi Group of Hotels in New Delhi at the groups head office working with the Vice Chairman focused on expansion and brand strategies for the group. He holds a graduate degree in Economics and a Post Graduate Degree in Management. He speaks frequently at various premier events in India and loves reading biographies.
