He has an industrial experience in Engineering Design and New Product Development specialized in the CAD/CAM/CAE and PLM applications. Vijay is a certified professional for Design and Simulation, his previous profile includes pre-sales and managing customers technically in the areas of Design & Simulation. At present he works as a Sales Engineer for Product Design & BIM/CIM in FARO Technologies.Abstract FARO Laser Scanner LS empowers users to digitize massive spaces into 3-D, action-ready data, Ideal for large volume modelling. Laser scanned data is useful in risk assessment to acquire and monitor emergency situations. This presentation explains the Laser scanning technology in disaster management applications. The objective of the presentation is to be able to get geological information prior to disaster and document the post disaster situation for planning response plans are related activities.
