Dimensions and Directions of Geospatial Industry |
Geospatial science has carved a niche for itself within not only the technology circle and decision makers, but with a number of new user segments as well. In fact, it would be apt to call it as Geospatial Industry, as it has evolved its own ecosystem and has been spreading its reach to contribute to other technologies and application sectors. The multitude case studies of innovative usage of this technology from nooks and corner of the world indicates a healthy growth and eager acceptance of geospatial by various nations.
Studies have indicated how geospatial has led to substantial savings of cost and time and yet yield higher productivity in various application segments. Nevertheless, it will not be incorrect to state that we are still at a nascent stage of exploring all that this important tool has to offer us. The future holds a lot of potential and probabilities and geospatial technologists have a long way to go in terms of making this tool more accessible and useful for societal development.
Geospatial World Forum 2011 shall offer a platform for the various stakeholders of geospatial technologies from across the globe to come together to deliberate upon the ‘Dimensions and Directions of Geospatial Industry’. The conference shall enable technologists to present a peep into what the future holds for the decision makers and users alike in terms of usage and applications of this technology.
Geospatial World Forum 2011 will bring together some of the most evolved minds of this domain to share with the audience the future directions and expanding dimensions of geospatial technologies.
